The Crystal Goblet:
For this project, I was tasked with using the text from The Crystal Goblet, or Printing Should Be Invisible by Beatrice Warde to create two contrasting layouts: one minimalist, one maximalist. In the text, Warde argues that graphic design should not get in the way of reading, so I needed to explore legibility and the role of graphic design on the printed page by creating two opposing layouts.
